‘A FARMER’S DAUGHTER’ IS RUN BY ARTIST & DESIGNER, HELEN THOMPSTONE.
HAVING GROWN UP ON THE FAMILY DAIRY FARM, HELEN LEFT HOME TO STUDY FOR A DEGREE IN FINE ART AT CHELSEA COLLEGE OF ART AND DESIGN, LONDON, RETURNING TO HER RURAL ROOTS AFTER GRADUATING.
Whilst working alongside the rest of the family in the running of the farm, Helen set up her studio with the aim of combining farming life with a creative business. By 2010 ‘A Farmer’s Daughter’ was up and running and the first card designs were created. Since then the range has grown into a unique collection of stationery and giftware products which are stocked throughout the UK and internationally by wonderful independent retailers and farm shops.
The family farm is located in the beautiful countryside of north west Staffordshire and the farming landscape, hedgerows, livestock and wildlife are all part of the inspiration behind A Farmer’s Daughter designs.
All of A Farmer’s Daughter products are designed in Staffordshire by Helen and made using British suppliers, printers and manufacturers.
